The GATE 2017 results have been announced today i.e. March 27, 2017, on its official website.

When was the GATE examination conducted?

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, an organizing institute of GATE 2017 conducted the examination on February 4, 2017, to February 5, 2017, and February 11, 2017, and February 12, 2017.

IIT Roorkee in its official notice has said that the results would be declared on March 27, but it has released the results one day prior.

Last year, the GATE results were declared on March 19, 2017.

How to check the GATE results?

Log on to the official website.
Click on the relevant link
Enter your enrollment id/email address and password
Click to submit
Results will be displayed
Take a print out of the same for future reference.

When can the candidates download the score card?

Candidates can download the score card till May 5, 2017. As per the official website, GATE 2017 score card download will be released shortly.

Why is GATE conducted?
GATE is an all India examination that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and technology. The exam is conducted for admissions to post-graduate programs (e.g., M.E., M.Tech, direct Ph.D.) in Indian institutes of higher education with financial assistance provided by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and other government agencies. The scores may also be used by public and private sector.
