A long and intense residential season for India and IPL now seems to carry its weight, with another star-studded cricketer emerging from the T20 league.

ESPNcricinfo reports that Ravichandran Ashwin is the last name in a growing list of injuries and will miss the IPL due to a sports hernia. The off-turn should not act for six to eight weeks and is the second player of the Rising Pune Supergiant camp to withdraw his name.

Ashwin, 30, should however be adapted in time for the Champions Trophy in England this June.
