CBSE Students of Classes 6 to 9, Pen-Paper Tests Are Key Again

The CBSE has removed the Continuous and Comprehensive Assessment (CCE) system and replaced it with a uniform system of assessment and examination to be followed by its affiliated schools for grades 6 to 9.

The approach to standardize teaching and evaluation at the school level will be implemented from the next university session.
Under the CCE program, which was in place since 2009, students were assessed on the basis of two "summative evaluations" and four "formative evaluations" (two for each).
